Caesar the Day!

05/24/2018

May 17th, 2018 was not your typical Thursday… it was #NationalCaesarDay!

National Caesar Day is an annual celebration of Canada’s favourite cocktail: The Caesar.

This year,  Crystal Head Vodka and Mott’s Clamato partnered together to commemorate the Canadian, government official day!

It began with Dan Aykroyd visiting celebrities, such as Adam SandlerRussell Peters and Rick Mercer, and sharing refreshing news (and cocktails) regarding the event.

To end it all, Crystal Head Vodka and Mott’s Clamato offered an amazing chance to win an exclusive meet and greet with a true Canadian comedic, Dan Aykroyd. We all know, a Caesar takes pride in it’s outlandish garnishes. So, what better way to win this VIP experience by suggesting a truly unique garnish for Dan’s Hot Head Caesar?

Lindsay O’Hare from Etobicocke, Ontario, created the winning garnish: a cone shaped savoury wrap, stuffed with spicy tuna tartare. She explained how this garnish was “…a nod to Dan’s famous comedy, Coneheads, with the funniest fish-out-of-water characters ever”.

On the evening of May 17th, Dan Aykroyd invited Lindsay to join him and others at Baro Toronto to indulge in the Hot Head Caesar. In the comfort of this trendy location, guests mingled over the premium products that fueled Canada’s official cocktail.
